Happy Thanksgiving!

. . . thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. 2Corinthians 2:14 NIV

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

A belated Happy Thanksgiving to you Frances. Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving are the three holidays that mean the most to me.
I think it is a great privilege that the Thanksgiving tradition
(first introduced by the devout Christian Pilgrims that landed at Plymouth Rock) still lives to at least some extent in our nation.
I was blessed to be invited to two Thanksgiving dinners this year. The first was at the home of an active Christian couple where the husband led in prayer before the meal. The second was at the family gathering at the home of one of my cousins. There are different degrees of Christian confession among the ten of us who were at this second dinner. The hostess, who professes Christ but does not attend church, asked me to lead in prayer. I did so after asking all of them to hold hands in a circle.
I thank the Lord for this opportunity to pray, fellowship and share.
