Are government schools really so desperate that they are hiring felons as principal? In one case, the answer is yes.
A convicted felon and abortionist responsible for the deaths of at least two women has been hired at a Chicago public school as the new principal. A spokesman from Mildred I. Lavizzo School in the greater Roseland area told a pro-life advocate that the Lavizzo school council were apprised of the full background of their new principal, Dr. Arnold Bickham.
Just another sad example of those who should be shamed by the community being honored instead.
And just another reason to homeschool if you live in Chicago.

My views on how following Christ should encourage us to do good, take a stand against evil, and embody self-sacrificial love. "Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:18

Triumphant Good Friday
As we think on Jesus' Crucifixion, let's remember that God can turn anything Satan intended for evil into a blessing. He can use a seeming weakness to bring Himself much glory.
And let's remember "that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death. We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin--because anyone who has died has been freed from sin." (Romans 6:3-7)
So let's live like we are alive.

It's Not About Bunnies
This is a great video made by a homeschool family that really spotlights the commercialism of Easter and reminds us of the real meaning of Resurrection Sunday. I thought you might enjoy it as we head to Good Friday. I found it here.

Your Fired! (But You Deserve a Medal)
Thank God for Brenda Biesterfeld. She worked at a library in California (are we surprised?) and saw a man looking at kiddie porn on the computers. She told the police, the man was arrested (more kiddie porn at his house), and she was fired.
I fear for a country where those that try to protect the innocent are fired. God, please bless Brenda Biesterfeld.
On the bright side the community of Lindsey, California has rallied around Ms. Bisterfeld. Also, Liberty Council has taken her case.

Obama's Afro-centric Church
Many of you may have heard that Obama attended an anti-American/anti-white sermon at his church. He has tried to distance himself from it, of course. I say that whether or not he was there for that particular sermon his church is rather unnerving.
