Family Odds and Ends

Last Abortion Clinic in South Dakota Closes
Thanks to Kevin Tracy I found this article about the last abortion clinic in South Dakota closing. This gives me hope though I don't expect the abortionist to give up in South Dakota.

It remains unclear if the Planned Parenthood office has permanently ceased the practice of abortion. However, several women who were scheduled for abortions this week went to a pro-life center instead, where some have reportedly changed their minds about having abortions.

"It didn't take the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and it didn't take a new President or a new Supreme Court. It took the courageous determination of pro-life heroes like Mr. Cassidy and the Unruhs who saw an opportunity to save lives and pressed on until their dream became victory."

I agree. Let's all do what we can where we are.

WIC and Planned Parenthood
Dawn Eden at The Dawn Patrol has pointed out a promonent link on the WIC site directing clients to Planned Parenthood. I already disliked WIC for pushing formula. Now I am disgusted.

Parenting Parachute
Premeditated Parenting has a recent article called "Parenting Parachute". Following God's principles is not just a matter of personal preference. It's not like you can just do whatever you want as a parent or spouse and get the outcome you desire with your family. That is just wishful thinking (or maybe it's not thinking at all)! Following God's principles in parenting and marriage (and life for that matter) is your best opportunity for a great outcome.

It is encouraging when abortion mills go out of business for various reasons. Ongoing activism by pro-lifers including picketing and couseling at the abortion sites, alternative pro-life pregnancy centers, and legal measures passed in state legislatures have all contributed to the closing of some abortion businesses.

In the 2006 general election South Dakota had a ballot initiative titled "Vote Yes for Life" that if passed and upheld would have outlawed nearly all abortions in South Dakota. This 2006 ballot initiative failed. This November a watered down version of "Vote Yes for Life" will appear on the South Dakota ballot.

While I continue to favor goals such as a Constitutional Amendment to protect preborn human beings, it is obvious that the ongoing persistent efforts of pro-life organizations and individuals is important in chipping away at the abortion empire and mentality.

Planned Parenthood is still rich and sassy; they are now building mega abortion businesses in various metropolitan areas. The culture of death is still very strong in our nation and controls institutions inside and outside of government. Much of the general populace needs a conversion to affirming moral responsibility and the sanctity of life.

Pro-life, pro-family persons must persevere and must maintain the prominent importance of the right-to-life issue.

Here, here to maintaining the prominence to the right to life.

Ahg! You misspelled my name! I'd kill people for that if I were dictator of the world!!!

But since I'm not dictator, you needn't worry about your safety.
