A couple in San Diego have been told that they will have to get a permit (costing thousands) to continue to have their weekly home Bible study of about 15 people. Read about the case here.
So what happened to religious freedom in San Diego County? Unless of course the county is also pursuing Monday night football gatherings or poker nights that meet on a regular basis or weekly network marketing meetings. Somehow I doubt it.

If this is as they have reported it, it is one of the most frightening things I've seen in awhile. Keep us posted.
If the primary use of this location is the residence for a family, and one time per week they invite friends over for Biblical study, it does not turn the residence into a church. Does the weekly football gathering where food and drinks are served turn someone's residence into a sports-themed restaurant? Would such a family need to deal with the expenditures of keeping their "restaurant" legal? All logic has been thrown out the window on this one.

I think I referred to Superbowl parties and people watching "Dancing with the Stars," but it was almost the same post other than that.
